Lexington Park is a condominium development planned in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago, just north of 22nd Street. The building will be constructed of a concrete frame, covered by aluminum framed windows and featuring a European-style horizontal channel glass system at the parking structure.
In order to maximize each room's volume and natural light, the individual units are designed with floor to ceiling windows and an open floor plan. The building's modern elements are in step with South Loop, which is evolving into one of the city's most sought-after areas for buyers looking to live in a fashionable, urban destination.

This will be the first LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Certified condominium in the south loop neighborhood. The building has native plantings on the roof terrace, which is accessible for all residents. In an attempt to minimize the harmful effects of chemical off-gassing, the materials used throughout the building have low volatile organic composition and contain high recycled content. The floor-to-ceiling windows will reduce the need for electrical lighting throughout most of the day. And last but not least, highly efficient HVAC systems for heating and cooling require lower energy usage than normal AC systems.
Ireland-based Chieftain Group is the company behind this multi-million dollar project. There are 297 condominiums in its 35-story east tower and 36 lofts in an adjoining seven-story building. One-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den and two-bedroom lofts are available. They range in size from 656 to 1,346 square feet and are priced from $223,900 to $521,900. The property includes deeded garage parking and approximately 18,000 square feet of retail space in total.
This condo project is still in the construction phase, but after reaching the 50% sold sales mark in less than five months, the construction rate has increased, and if the builders keep up the pace, the expected delivery date will move up from the original projection of spring 2008.
Lexington Park condominiums feature stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and Moen faucets in all kitchens. Homes will also feature natural bamboo flooring in living areas, carpeting in bedrooms, and Carrara marble tile accenting the floors and shower walls in master baths.
The list of amenities at Lexington Park is quite impressive. There will be a party room (1200 sq. foot with multiple seating areas), a gourmet kitchen and access to the grilling terrace. There is also a fitness room, a 640 sq foot exercise facility equipped with cardio machines, free weights and a yoga area. The rooftop deck is a beautifully landscaped 15,000 square-foot area with multiple seating spaces, a large dog run, and a special 1000 sq-foot section for grilling that includes gas hook-ups. There is also four levels of heated indoor parking with remote control access. A 24 hour doorman is at your service to receive packages, secure the lobby entry and help with miscellaneous needs.
