The CatalystClick Here To Get Up To Date Pricing & AvailabilityThe definition of the word catalyst is something that causes a significant change or reaction. The $100 million dollar high-rise by the same name that is coming to the West Loop will probably live up to that definition. The Catalyst is the product of developer Urban R2 Development Company, LLC, who also brought 600 N. Fairbanks to town, and renowned architect Lucien Lagrange. The future tower will call 123 Desplaines Street home and most likely will change the look of the surrounding neighborhood in a very positive way with its design. The twenty-two story building will be cast in shades reminiscent of water and sky, namely green and blue. The overall modern design of the Catalyst uses glass accent shapes in squared off and even rectangular sections to give the tower a unique look on the outside. The idea is to make the building stand out from the standard design of much of the surrounding high-rises in the area. The West Loop neighborhood where the Catalyst is going to be built is a fantastic spot sure to boost sales for the condos. The developer positioned the building so that it is close to several vibrant neighborhoods, including The Loop areas, River North, the financial district of downtown and several other prime shopping centers of activity. It's a great location if you work downtown, plus you will have ample access to transportation with the el, the expressway, bus service and Metra close to the condominium. The Merchandise Mart is within easy access along with The Fulton Market District. Residents of the Catalyst will be poised to take advantage of some of the best shopping, dining and entertainment venues in the city. The Fulton Market includes a huge sampling of the artistic side of Chicago with nearly two dozen art houses and galleries located there. After satisfying your creative mind, you can indulge your appetite with a meal from any of the fine restaurants just steps from your condo or buy fresh produce from one of the neighborhood stands and cook at home. And the night life is alive and well with the selection of clubs waiting to be explored. The building amenities at Catalyst will be as upscale as the building's design. The lower level will be dedicated to parking, storage lockers for residents and 28 spaces for retail businesses to fill. The condos will come with one parking space for the bulk of the residences and penthouse buyers will get two. The building is pet friendly and a dog walk will be installed in this area as well. Other features are a 24 hour door person and a party room. Alleviating stress and promoting health were taken into consideration with the design of the Catalyst. Residents will be able to enjoy not only a 3,800 square foot spa, but also get to use the rooms reserved for massages, meditation, yoga as well as a steam and sauna room. Convenient separate locker rooms for the women and men will be available. Floor plans for the 217 condos range from one to three bedrooms with optional den. The price ranges currently vary as much as $220,000 on up to over $1 million for the units. All condos will have either terraces or balconies. An interesting feature of the fifth floor of this tower is that the units there will boast professionally landscaped terraces since these condos are located on top of the garage and space allows for some creativity. The condos start on floor six and these homes are slated to be mostly the one and two bedroom units. The developer is calling the 14th through 17th floors the Tower Area and explains that at this level the skyline views are more stunning. And of course the upper floors, 18 through 21 will be the penthouse suites with the best views of all. Interior finishes are planned to be high quality. Without having to upgrade you get quality wood floors in the common areas and nice carpeting for the bedroom areas. Kitchens will be ready for some serious cooking with appliances from top manufacturers lick Wolf, Frigidaire and Sub Zero. Custom Poggen Pohl wood cabinets, granite counter tops and a handy work island or breakfast bar round out the space. The master baths come outfitted with more custom wood cabinets. The buyer gets to pick from several types of tile, including glass or porcelain. Counter surfaces can be covered in either durable granite or sleek limestone or marble. The Catalyst is probably not only going to change the look of the neighborhood but also brighten the outlook of its future residents. YES! GIVE ME MORE INFOTo:
