MoMo Chicago ResidencesClick Here To Get Up To Date Pricing & AvailabilityReal estate development in Chicago is hot right now, and there are new residences and condo towers everywhere you look. The MoMo Chicago Residences are one of the newest lines of luxurious homes available to local homebuyers. The homes are currently going up at 8 E. Randolph and are in the construction sales phase of development. There are a variety of one-and two-bedroom floor plans that will let buyers select the perfect living space for their needs. The building is also centrally located to everything dwellers will need to live, work, and play in the heart of Chicago’s downtown. The units are expected to be ready for moving in by mid-2007. The MoMo Chicago Residences give buyers many choices in regards to the shape and size of the spaces that are offered. A number of one- and two-bedroom floor plans are shop-able. One-bedroom units range in size from 834 to 951 square feet and are available on floors 17 to 33. Two-bedroom homes run from 1348 to 1460 square feet and are being built on floors 10 to 16. There are also one-and two-bedroom lofts in the MoMo and those units are 1141 to 1767 square feet in size and those will be on the buildings’ third and fourth floors. The units have full floor-to-ceiling windows, spectacular standard finishes, and inset, private balconies. Parking spaces are also available for purchase. It’s obvious that, with so many options, this is no cookie-cutter tower. The neighborhood surrounding the MoMo is full of vitality and offers residents the best face of Chicago. Restaurants in the area include Gene and Georgetti’s, The Everest Room, Harry Caray’s, and Prairie. The fine arts and cultural entertainment scene is minutes from the building, with Symphony Center, the Lyric Opera, the Art Institute, and the Museum of Contemporary Art very close by. Chicago’s Joffrey Ballet Company has even purchased two floors at the base of the building for a permanent ballet theater. Shopping options within walking distance are numerous and include Water Tower Place, Niketown, Virgin Megastore, Tiffany’s, and the Apple Store. Those with a taste for a bit more excitement can get their groove on close to home at the House of Blues and the Funky Buddha Lounge. Smithfield Properties is developing the MoMo and, as with their recent new construction Erie On The Park and Kingsbury On The Park, they expect the building to sell out quickly. Laurence Booth, of Booth Hansen Associates, handled the architectural design of the project. The MoMo, which stands for “Modern Momentum,” is going up on the site of the old Masonic Temple. The Temple was Chicago’s tallest building in its day and is considered one of the most important early skyscrapers. Smithfield and Booth Hansen are also working together on the similarly named SoNo building, which is south of North Avenue. Those interested in a home of their own in the MoMo Chicago Residences can visit the MoMo Sales Center at 9 W. Washington. With Chicago property developments selling like hotcakes (and the more unique ones even faster), would-be buyers are encouraged to move quickly if they are serious about making the MoMo their home. by Mike O'Cull Request more information on MoMo Chicago Residences |
