The Lincoln Park real estate market was one of many parts of Chicago to suffer a sharp decline in sales during the second quarter, which could lead to more deals for buyers on the market. According to data from the Chicago Association of Realtors, a total of just 301 condos were sold in Lincoln Park during the second quarter, down from 502 units sold during the same period a year ago. It was the lowest number of condos sold during the second quarter in more than 18 years.

However, buyers are focussing on the most expensive properties in Lincoln Park, bringing the average sales price up by 7 percent. Buyers could still find some great deals, particularly for units on the lower end of the market.
