The Residences at the VicClick Here To Get Detailed InformationLakeview is full of condos new and old, but few are as closely related to a longtime area landmark as The Residences at the Vic. Located across the street from the Vic Theater at 3140 N. Sheffield, the building is a new construction project offering two-and three-bedroom condo homes just off the corner of Sheffield and Belmont, one of the most vibrant intersections in all of Chicago. The project’s goal is to give buyers an unbeatable combination of location, sophistication, and luxury. There will be 51 units available for sale at the Vic, with prices ranging from $509,990 to $709,990. There will also be four 1800 square foot retail spaces. ![]() A model living room The homes at the Vic give buyers a variety of floor plans to peruse, although buyers looking for small spaces should probably look elsewhere. Units here start with two-bed, two-bath plans and finish with three-bed, three-bath layouts. There are also some ultra-plush penthouse units available, for those who dare. Of course, the condos are luxurious and fully featured. Potential residents will find things like 10 foot ceilings, oversized double pane windows, vented gas fireplaces, pre-wired plasma TV sets, wide plank oak flooring, Mohawk carpeting, track lighting, and GE washers and dryers when they arrive to select a home. Gourmet kitchens are finished with cherry Shaker-style full overlay cabinets, GE Profile stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, quiet-close drawers, breakfast bars, under-cabinet lighting, and Grohe faucets, all per plan. Master baths feature separate tubs and showers, cherry vanity cabinets, Zodiaq quartz counters, Grohe faucets and Koehler sinks, and decorative accent tiles. The Vic building proper gives its dwellers shared amenities including a dramatic brick and limestone exterior, two passenger elevators, a private lobby, trash chutes on every floor, secure individual storage, heated underground parking, and unit-controlled HVAC systems. The Lakeview neighborhood surrounding the Residences at the Vic is one of the project’s strongest selling points and will put those who live in the building right in the middle of one of the most active areas the city has to offer. The area borders Lake Michigan and is great for those who enjoy all manner of lakefront recreation. There are also many diverse shopping, dining, and nightlife options available within walking distance, along with easy access to Brown, Red, and Purple Line trains. Several bus lines serve the neighborhood, as well. Clearly, life in Lakeview is all about going out. The Residences at the Vic is another construction project from Joseph Freed and Associates, LLC. The firm has been active since 1965 and is still family-owned, which is a rarity in their business. They have developed 11 million square feet of commercial space and 5000 residential units in their real estate history and have recently began concentrating on mixed-use spaces like the Vic. Those interested in living here can drop by the onsite Sales Center Monday through Friday from 11AM to 6PM and weekends from 11AM to 5PM. Homes are currently being delivered, so time may be of the essence to snag the perfect spot in the building. Mike O'Cull I'M INTERESTEDTo:
