340 on the Park

340 Park Condos in Chicago is an exciting new project being built by LR Development. Located right in the middle of downtown Chicago on 340 East Randolph Street and just outside Harbor Park and Millennium Park, when completed it will consist of 62 all residential floors and be Chicago's first "green" high rise residential condo to receive "LEED" certification. Great care went into the design and building of this residential tower to achieve that honor.

LR Development's interior design group Synthesis Architecture & Design collaborated with Solomon Cordwell Buence to develop what they call "urban chick residential high rise." The effect is a truly unique modern building that incorporates energy efficient and environmentally sound features. Renewable resource products such as bamboo flooring were used in the kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms. A rainwater collection system provides water for the interior Winter Garden. The building's exterior is sheathed in reflective glass so that it appears to simply be a natural part of the nearby Millennium and Grant Parks. It beautifully reflects the lush green of the surrounding acres and the vast blue of the overhead sky and nearby water. 340 on the Park blends in with its surroundings while retaining its unique contemporary feel.

When completed, 340 on the Park will house 343 residential units, of which 16 are luxury penthouses. Views from the penthouses and terraces and balconies of the other apartments are simply stunning. Locations that can be seen include Harbor Park, Grant Park, Millennium Park, Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, Navy Pier and Buckingham Fountains. The Chicago skyline can be seen both day and night from nearly every angle at 340 on the Park.

The twenty fifth floor is reserved for luxury living amenities. Located some two hundred feet up from ground level, this area is 2.5 stories high and designed with floor-to-ceiling windows for another amazing view. The windows also allow for natural light. Residents will have full use of a complete fitness center and spa. Free weights as well as exercise equipment are available, including a separate area where yoga or aerobics can be practiced. There is a twenty five yard lap pool, stream room, sauna, hot tub and separate men's and women's locker rooms. Also located on this floor is a Winter Garden and Club Rooms. Single luxury one bedroom, one and a half bath condos with balconies range from around 1186 to 1337 square feet in size and start at a price of $389,000. Two bedroom condo units are sized between 1500 to 2045 square feet and priced from $579,000. There are also luxury three bedroom units that are between 2222 to 2412 square feet and cost from $1,299,000. The most luxurious suits at 340 Condos include three bedrooms and a den, are 2354 to5489 square feet in size and priced from $1,495,000 on up. The 16 penthouse apartments are the most expensive and are priced from $2,650,000.

All of these Chicago luxury condo units are equipped with high speed internet and cable television. Wi-fi has a range from the swimming pool, winter garden, health club, lobby and plaza. Residents will be ale to utilize this technology feature for work or entertainment at 340 on the Park. Kitchens are equipped with stainless steel appliances, quartz counter tops as well as marble tops in the bathrooms. A 24-hour doorman and concierge service is available to all residents. The lower floors of the building house retail shopping units and indoor parking spaces. 340 on the Park also includes a convenient connection to the Chicago pedway system that leads to the adjacent Blue Cross/Blue Shield building.

Children of residents living at 340 on the Park will be zoned to the Chicago public schools. Ogden School and Wells Community Academy High School are the nearest locations for education.
