The Belgravia Group is bringing 35 new townhomes to the University Village and Pilsen areas with the addition of their Union Row Townhomes. The development will be extremely convenient for commuters, as access to the Loop is a mere 5-10 minutes away. Additionally, the Museum Campus is also easily accessible, as is the medical district, Maxwell Street, Chinatown, and UIC.

In the past several years, the area has become a burgeoning new neighborhood with several cafes and interesting stores. For Chicago townhomes, though, Union Row is still somewhat reasonably priced for the footage offered. The homes start at $550,000 to $717,000, and the square footage ranges from 2,288 to 2,901 square feet. The exterior is interesting, as it adds a modernist twist to the typical facade; building materials include corrugated metal and two different colors of brick. Green space is a high priority for the development, and there are courtyards, private yards, and roof decks to enjoy.

The residences have either three or four bedrooms, and contain 2.5 to 4 bathrooms. The ceilings in the homes will range from 8’6” to 9’. Oak flooring, walk in closets, and luxury carpeting are standard features. Cat-5 wiring is also included in the residence for easy data access. A skylight for added natural light is located on the fourth floor. Garages are heated and have enough space for two cars. Each home has a private, landscaped yard with a patio and a fence, and the patios are wired for electricity, gas, and water. Roof decks are also wired for electricity and gas. The townhomes’ kitchen includes stainless steel GE appliances, Kohler sinks and faucets, an eat-in kitchen or breakfast bar, granite countertops, and Ultracraft cabinets. Bathrooms also have Kohler sinks, a Kohler steeping tub, Kohler toilets, and Kohler faucets. The lighting in the bathrooms is halogen. The Pilsen/University Village area consists of both residential and retail property. Several major developments have recently located there, including University Village, University Commons, University Station and Roosevelt Square. Both the Blue Line and Orange Line El trains service the area, as well as CTA buses. A Dominicks, a Jewel-Osco, and a Walgreens are in the neighborhood as well.

Belgravia’s other current developments include 600 North Lake Shore Drive, Hartland Park II, and 565 Quincy. According to Belgravia’s website, the company began 50 years ago in Lincoln Park, and has since obtained a stellar reputation in the industry for quality condos, townhomes, and single family homes in many of the most desirable neighborhoods in Chicago. Onsite financing is available though Wells Fargo Bank. The sales center is located at 1600 S. Halsted, and the hours for the center are 10 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week.
