If you’re thinking about buying a condo or loft in the Lincoln Square area, keep up to date with the latest news coming out of the real estate market in the area. According to the Chicago Association of Realtors, Lincoln Square is one of the few neighborhoods in the Chicago region that has seen an increase in sales during the third quarter. A total of 153 condominiums were sold during the quarter, up 20 percent from the same period last year. It is also the most condos sold during the period in more than 16 years. Prices in the neighborhood have risen by 10 percent since last year, and could continue to rise if demand stays strong in the area. The average sales price for condos and lofts in Lincoln Square during the third quarter stood at $270,000. However, despite an increase in sales, the inventory of unsold condos and lofts on the market continued to increase around the neighborhood. The average turnover time for a property on the market rose to 93 days during the third quarter. If inventory numbers continue to rise, this could put pressure on prices in Lincoln Square. However, the neighborhood’s continued popularity should keep prices from falling too far. YES! GIVE ME MORE INFOTo:
