September 7, 2010 – It has been a while since we checked up on VB1224. This Chicago real estate development is still advertising “new prices massively reduced with even newer high end finishes.” Right now their ads state that one bedroom plus den lofts are priced from $239,900. Two bedroom lofts are priced from $289,900 and come with a free indoor parking space.

These Chicago condo lofts at Van Buren were heavily advertised as one of the last real loft conversion projects in the West Loop. The old warehouse may have been completely renovated, but traditional loft details like lots of exposed concrete, ductwork and high ceilings are still visible. The 189 lofts have one to three bedrooms and one to two baths.

The units at VB1224 come with 12 to 14 foot ceilings, 4 inch wide plank hardwood flooring, marble tiled maths, stainless steel kitchen appliances by Bosch, quartz counter tops and a washer and dryer. Building amenities include a fitness center and resident lounge.
