November 10, 2008 – Last week we talked about the 22 units that are going up for auction next month at Jazz on the Boulevard. We now know that Rick Levin and Associates is also auctioning off 34 units in the McKinley Park Lofts development on 2323 West Pershing Road. The auction will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at 6:30 pm at the Hyatt Regency-McCormick Place located on 2233 South Martin Luther King Drive.

There are 163 Chicago condo loft units in this development that have from one to three bedrooms. The interior finishes include 36 inch maple kitchen cabinets, double bowl stainless steel sinks, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, marble vanity tops in the baths, washer and dryer hook-ups, hardwood flooring, wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedrooms and are pre-wired for cable television and high speed Internet. The building features a landscaped courtyard, lobby, mailroom, fitness center, storage lockers and bicycle storage plus a gated parking lot for residents.

Of the 34 lofts up for auction at this Chicago real estate development, 12 will be sold regardless of price. The residences had been listed for as much as $370,000 and the suggested opening bid is now listed as $85,000. You can check out the lofts before the auction by stopping by during the open house that will be held November 23rd and 30th and December 7th, all from 11 am to 1 pm. You may be able to find a really good deal if you’re in the market for a new home, and you can also compare them to other Chicago Condo Lofts to see how they measure up.
