May 1, 2009 – You may already know that The Legacy topped out about a month ago. All work on the 72 story high-rise is on schedule to be completed by the middle of 2010, and deliveries on the 356 Chicago condos are due this coming September. Even though The Legacy is just about 90% sold, there are still about four dozen units available in a variety of prices and floor plans. The condo at this Chicago real estate development probably fall into the luxury category, but the latest prices from Mesa Development and Walsh Investors haven’t changed much in the past year according to their latest price sheets.

Prices on the remaining 1 bedroom, 1 to 1.5 bath condos (some with dens) run anywhere from the high $400,000s to low $600,000s with square feet ranging from around 925 to 1,189.

For a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with from 1,428 to 1,596 square feet you can expect to pay anywhere from the mid $600,000s to $1 million. A 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath with den will cost you $1.18 to $1.59 million and give you 1,428 to 1,596 square feet of living space.

If you need more room, there are a few 3 bedroom, 3 bath condos that have 1,969 to 2,405 square feet and are priced from $1.15 to $1.91 million. Inching up are the 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath units at 2,436 square feet and $2 million, while the 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath plus den measures 2,930 square feet and is priced at $2.59 million.

And finally, for a 4,378 to 4,757 square foot penthouse unit with 3 to 4 bedrooms you’ll have to dish out $4.25 million.

With a construction price tag of $300 million, the finishes and amenities at The Legacy are top notch. Everything from the spectacular views to the skybridge on floor 13 that connects the University Club to the tower is pretty unique. So if you are interested in owning a condo at this high-rise, you might want to check out the sales center while there are still several units left. Or you can visit some of the Downtown Chicago Condos that have condos ready for delivery.
