The Kingsbury Plaza Apartments is a 46-story building that has 420 luxurious units in total. It's designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz & Associates, a Chicago based company dedicated to enhancing your lifestyle with their thoughtful planning and design. The exterior of the building is made by J.E. Berkowitz. J.E. Berkowitz is company fabricating insulating glass units the newest high-rise condos in the city of Chicago. All windows in Grand Kingsbury condos are made from high-performance, low-E coated insulating glass. Units will feature Guardian LE-40 (2) Clear / Clear and LE-50 (2) Clear / Clear.

J. E. Berkowitz has fabricated the lass for each unit aiming to prevent roller-wave distortion tolerance to exceed .003. SCB also requested that J.E. Berkowitz produce glass at half of the recommended ASTM C 1048 for bow and warp tolerance.

Grand Kingsbury condos will feature an expansive curtain-wall facade. Indoor parking is available with 422 spaces for tenants. Another 1,200 square foot is specially planned as retail space.

Kingsbury Plaza is at 520 North Kingsbury Street, in the River North neighborhood. This neighborhood combines the industrial atmosphere with the historic landmarks, the beauty of the Chicago River and a location remarkably close to city center. All of these factors have made River North one of Chicago’s hottest areas at the moment. For the most part, the residents of this neighborhood are professionals who have chosen it for its proximity to the Loop in an attempt to spend less time commuting to work. River North is full of restaurants (way over 100) in all genres of food. As far as the nightlife is concerned, all you party people will soon realize River North is full of clubs and interesting places. Some of the restaurants don’t close until late and there are a number of clubs famous in this part of town, such as Sound Bar, 36, Narcisse or the legendary House of Blues.

The owner and developer of Kingsbury Plaza - Habitat Co. of Chicago, plans to have it opened in the latter part of 2007.
